I’m to old for this S@#T
Do you know this person? Is it you?
I couldn’t do that, I’m too old to run, jump, lift weights be more energetic. I’m not meant to be that or this because of my age.
If you know someone like this you are probably nodding your head right now. If you’re not more than likely your this person.
Life is a crazy whirlwind of change, adventure and growth, but society has decided that as we age we should do less, slow down and essentially prepare for death by allowing our bodies to become weak, inflexible and ridged.
Well at FSM we are calling bulllshit on that. Too often we see amazing feats been performed by people in their later years. Take Charles Eugster a 95 year old man still sprinting and braking records.
Or Ernestine Shepherd who is 77 years old and still actively competes in body building and runs every morning before most people start their second dream.
The day you stop moving should be your last day.
It may be hard if you have allowed your body to become stagnate but YOU can changes this by making the decision to go against the norm (what society thinks you should do as you age) Start moving and performing the basic movements you need in everyday life.
- Sit down = Squatting
- Picking up objects like clothes , shopping or your grand-kids = Deadlifting
- Putting something up on a shelf = press over head
I would like to mention one of our valued members Bridie Hester, this women is amazing for so many reasons. First off she has never lifted weights or done strength and conditioning training in her life till November of last year. She had high blood pressure and osteoarthritis in her knees hands and lower spine. Going from basic movements and push-ups off a box, Bridie has transformed her body and is fitter stronger and more mobile than she has been in the last 5 years. Oh! And she is 61 years of age.
So what if we were to tell you, you can reverse the aging process! Get back more energy, look and feel better and do things you were told was a young person’s game. Make no mistake results require hard work and dedication but with Coach Sara leading the way you could not be in better hands.
